FASTING PREFERRED. Both are commonly ordered tests as part of a general health check up looking at your cholesterol and glucose as well as many other tests.
This test is done to measure the level of the hormone cortisol in the blood. The cortisol level may show problems with the adrenal glands or pituitary gland. Cortisol is made by the adrenal glands.
CRP - C-Reactive Protein (Inflammation)
This test is to detect inflammation. CRP is an acute phase reactant, a protein made by the liver and released into the blood within a few hours after tissue injury, the start of an infection, or other cause of inflammation.
CRP HS - C-Reactive Protein High Senstivity (Cardiac)
This test is more sensitive than a standard test, also can be used to evaluate your risk of developing coronary artery disease.

Drug Test - Hair
Drug Test: Hair – Hair testing is the most accurate and effective method of finding drug users. A small sample of hair cut at the scalp, hair analysis evaluates the amount of drug metabolites embedded inside the hair shaft. Each ½ inch of head hair provides a 30-day history of drug use. The standard for the industry is to test 1.5 inches, which provides a 90-day history of the donor’s drug use.

ESR - Sedimentation Rate (Sed Rate)
The erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) is an easy, inexpensive, nonspecific test that has been used for many years to help detect conditions associated with acute and chronic inflammation, including infections, cancers, and autoimmune diseases. ESR is said to be nonspecific because increased results do not tell the doctor exactly where the inflammation is in the body or what is causing it, and also because it can be affected by other conditions besides inflammation. For this reason, the ESR is typically used in conjunction with other tests.
FSH - Follicle Stimulating Hormone
This hormone is an important part of the reproductive system. Follicles produce estrogen and progesterone in the ovaries and help maintain the menstrual cycles in women. In men, it is a part of the development of the gonads as well as sperm production.

*FASTING PREFERRED* This test measures the amount of insulin, the hormone that lets cells take in glucose.
Iron is a trace mineral your body uses for transporting oxygen to cells throughout your body. However, it is also essential for cell growth and differentiation.
Lipid Panel (FASTING)
FASTING PREFERRED. The Lipid Panel is used to help determine your risk of coronary heart disease. The lipid panel generally includes total cholesterol, HDL-C (good cholesterol), LDL-C (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides. It is often ordered as part of a general health screening, but if your numbers are in range can be recommended every 5 years.
Liver Panel (Hepatic)
The liver panel test can screen for, detect, evaluate, and monitor for liver inflammation and damage. A liver panel may be used to screen a person for liver damage, especially someone who has a condition, or is taking a drug, that may affect the liver. A Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) may be ordered instead of a liver panel for routine screening. The group of tests may also be ordered to monitor liver function and the effectiveness of treatment in someone who has a liver disease.
Progesterone is a hormone that stimulates and regulates important functions, playing a role in maintaining pregnancy, preparing the body for conception and regulating the monthly menstrual cycle.
This is a protein that is best known for its role in producing milk. Prolactin plays an essential role in metabolism, regulation of the immune system and pancreatic development.
PT - Prothrombin Time (pro-time)
The prothrombin time (PT) test is ordered to help diagnose unexplained bleeding, often along with a partial thromboplastin time (PTT) test. The PT and INR are used to monitor the effectiveness of the anticoagulant drug COUMADIN®. Occasionally, the tests may be used to screen people for any previously undetected bleeding problems prior to surgical procedures.
Renal Function Panel (KIDNEY)
FASTING PREFERRED. Glucose, BUN, Creatinine, Albumin, Phosphorus, Calcium, CO2
STD - RPR (Syphilis)
The Rapid Plasma Reagin test looks for non-specific antibodies in the blood that may indicate a syphilis infection.
The total T4 test has been used for many years to help diagnose hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. It is a useful test but can be affected by the amount of protein available in the blood to bind to the hormone.
The free T4 test is a newer test that is not affected by protein levels. Since free T4 is the active form of thyroxine, the free T4 test is thought by many to be a more accurate reflection of thyroid hormone function and, in most cases, its use has replaced that of the total T4 test.
The hormone T3 free does not bind to the protein in your body. T3, along with T4, regulates your body’s temperature, metabolism, and heart rate.
TSH - Thyroid Stimulating Hormone
The TSH test is often used for evaluating thyroid function and/or symptoms of hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism. Doctors use third generation TSH testing to screen for thyroid disorders and monitor TSH levels in those using thyroid medications.
This test is a normal component of urine. High blood concentrations of uric acid can lead to gout and are associated with other medical conditions including diabetes and the formation of ammonium acid urate kidney stones.
Urine Culture & Sensitivity
A urine culture and sensitivity is used to diagnose a urinary tract infection. Symptoms may indicate the possibility of a urinary tract infection, such as pain and burning when urinating and frequent urge to urinate. A urine culture may be ordered with a urinalysis or as follow up to abnormal results on a urinalysis.
Vitamin B12 & Folate
Vitamin B12, folate, and an assortment of other tests may be ordered to help evaluate the general health and nutritional status. Vitamin B12 and folate (folic acid) are primarily ordered to detect deficiencies and to help diagnose the cause of certain anemias.
Vitamin B12 is helps in the development of healthy blood cells, nerve cells, and proteins in the body. It also helps with the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates

UA - Random Urinalysis (Urogram).
A urinalysis is a group of chemical and microscopic tests. They detect the byproducts of normal and abnormal metabolism, cells, cellular fragments, and bacteria in urine. Urine is produced by the kidneys. The kidneys filter wastes out of the blood, help regulate the amount of water in the body, and conserve proteins, electrolytes, and other compounds that the body can reuse.
Microalbumin Urine, Random
This test checks for the presence of albumin. Albumin is found in the blood and is filtered by the kidneys. When the kidneys are damaged, a small amount of albumin can leak into the urine.
